Solar thermal system combination with wood pellet central heating boiler

100%_renewable_energy_system_solar_wood_pellets
These days it's easy to choose a new heating system. For starters, you want one that is both economical and convenient, and it should also be environmentally sound. Solar water heating combined with wood pellet-fired range of boilers,  meet all of these criteria fully and easily.

Solar water heating. Our solar water heating system will provide 60-70% of the domestic hot water and also can supply up to 25% of the energy needed for the *space heating during the year depending on the building and installation. All of the hot water product by the solar collectors are for free. No bills from the sun.
Important:  Properly dimensioned  solar heating systems offer the best guarantee for satisfactory operation. Knowing a household's hot water consumption is required when finding the proper dimensions for the solar warm water system and solar water space heating system.

With expensive and CO2-emitting coal, gas and crude oil imports, further price increases are only a question of time, particularly as these fossil fuels will soon be exhausted as a result of ever-increasing demand.

Wood pellets (stored solar energy) and on the other hand, is a renewable local resource. It is available in sufficient quantities,  on our doorsteps, and is cheap to produce and deliver. You can heat with a clear conscience, knowing that you are no longer dependent on coal, gas and oil, and that you are protecting the environment and supporting your local forestry industry. Burning pellets only releases Carbon dioxide that was previously absorbed by the wood. Irish made wood pellets come from sustainable sources of timber so you know that you are reducing the effect of global warming when you heat your home with wood pellets.
Wood pellets are packed with energy and need much less volume [storage volume/storage space] than other biomass fuels. Produced by being compacted under high pressure from wood waste such as sawdust, shavings and forest off cuts, you can choose to either get wood pellets by the sack from your local stove shop or garden centre or have them conveniently delivered to you by truck (only available in some areas of the UK). Incidentally, the shinier and lighter a pellet's surface is, the better the quality, and this has a positive effect on combustion. To check pellet quality try putting a few pellets in a glass of water. If they sink to the bottom, the quality is perfect.

Why 99.9% and not 100%?
The solar and the pellet boiler uses electricity,  very little but still there need a regular power supply of 230V. In most parts of the EU you the consumer have the choice to by green electricity produced by wind, hydro or other alternative ways. Not so in Ireland at the moment.
Our heating system meets the Energy Saving Regulations (ESR) in Germany, even for older buildings, without any additional improvements to the property.

More than just a central heating system,  it’s good for the environment and good for you. High performance/ high efficiency/good economy. Thanks to its innovative combustion technology, our pellet boiler uses the energy stored in wood in an optimal way. It keeps fuel consumption low and performance levels high. It's as economical as you can get..

News:
Irish made wood pellets:

The first production of pellets by Balcas will begin shortly. The potential supply will be 50,000 tons per annum, enough to heat approx 10,000 small homes. In reality this supply will be divided most likely between the commercial users and the domestic market. Balcas has chosen a distributor for its pellets in bagged form which will then find their way to pellet stove users through all of Ireland. Boilers are now beginning to be installed and the need for automatic pellet delivery into the burning chamber is there. The distribution of bagged and loose pellets, by way of a pressurized bulk truck, will commence in the new year, the truck size will be approx 10 tons and the minimum delivery will be 3 tons with a cost of €150.00-€190.00 per ton.
