Information Page99.9% Renewable Energy System (Solar & Wood Pellets) |
|
With expensive and CO2-emitting coal, gas and crude oil imports, further price increases are only a question of time, particularly as these fossil fuels will soon be exhausted as a result of ever-increasing demand. Wood
pellets (stored solar energy) and on the other hand, is a renewable local resource. It is available in
sufficient quantities, on our doorsteps, and is cheap to produce and
deliver. Why
99.9% and not 100%? More
than just a central heating system, it’s good for the
environment and good for you. |

| News: Irish made wood pellets: The first production of pellets by Balcas will begin shortly. The potential supply will be 50,000 tons per annum, enough to heat approx 10,000 small homes. In reality this supply will be divided most likely between the commercial users and the domestic market. Balcas has chosen a distributor for its pellets in bagged form which will then find their way to pellet stove users through all of Ireland. Boilers are now beginning to be installed and the need for automatic pellet delivery into the burning chamber is there. The distribution of bagged and loose pellets, by way of a pressurized bulk truck, will commence in the new year, the truck size will be approx 10 tons and the minimum delivery will be 3 tons with a cost of €150.00-€190.00 per ton.
